Thanks for wanting to learn about Kiddie Garden! If after reading through our website, you are interested in setting up an interview to meet to see if we might be a good fit for each other, please reach out to Lindsay at 720-384-3121.
Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in early childhood education. They are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Our teachers work closely with families to ensure that each child's individual needs are met and that they receive the support and guidance they need to develop to their full potential.
Meet Ms. Lindsay:
Gina has been helping me run Kiddie Garden since 2021 and I can’t say enough nice things about her. She has all the same yearly training that I do and she is registered under my license. She runs daycare Tuesday-Thursday 8:30-12:30 and then all day on Friday. We have a great schedule and it keeps us both from experiencing any sort of daycare burnout. Gina is also my substitute if I need to take time off for sickness, my own family, vacation, etc. We have become a real team and you will work with both of us frequently if you enroll at Kiddie Garden.
At Kiddie Garden, we offer a comprehensive curriculum that is tailored to meet the developmental needs of each child. Our curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood education and is designed to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. We use a variety of teaching strategies and materials to engage children in active learning and help them develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We have daily songs that we sing and we follow the Mother Goose Time Curriculum. This includes a monthly theme and then every day we study a new topic within that theme. Feel free to look at the website mothergoosetime.com for more information on the preschool curriculum.
We used to operate out of our house in Highlands Ranch, but a few years ago my dad was diagnosed with dementia and we went on a hunt to find a house that would allow for me to continue to run my daycare while also having enough space for my dad to move in with us. And we found the perfect place about 10 minutes away from where we used to live. We now live in the peaceful community of Chatfield East (south of Highlands Ranch and East of Sterling Ranch). We have 4 acres of land to enjoy, which as you can imagine is ideal for running a daycare. My dad lives with us, but he spends most of his days at a Veterans center. The daycare kids all call him “Grandad” and they help to brighten each other’s days.
What our days look like here at Kiddie Garden:
8:00–we open and kids start to arrive between 8-9. During this first hour the kids play in our front room with a rotation of toys and puzzles.
9:15–we have a morning snack
9:30-10:30–is our preschool hour. We have daily songs that we sing and then we follow the Mother Goose Time Curriculum. There is a monthly theme and then every day we learn a new topic within that theme. Feel free to look at the website mothergoosetime.com for more information on the preschool curriculum.
10:30-11:30–outdoor play or gross motor play in our indoor playroom if the weather doesn’t allow for us to go outside.
11:30–lunchtime. I send out a weekly menu so you can see what your kiddo will be eating every day for snacks and lunch. Lunch consists of a main dish and always a fruit and veggie. I never make anyone eat anything they don’t like–they just can’t get more of anything unless they finish everything. The kids here are mostly really good eaters as the power of peer pressure works like magic!
12:30-2:30–is our rest time. Kids are all provided their own rest cot, sheet, pillow, and blanket. We will separate kids with large foam blocks so that they can’t see each other. We turn on a sound machine, turn out the lights and the kids almost always fall asleep quickly after a big morning of play.
2:30-3:00–we put all of our nap time things away, use the bathroom and get ready for a fun afternoon.
3:00-3:30–we finish up our daily preschool unit (usually with a game or manipulative activity
3:30–afternoon snack
Then the rest of the afternoon until 5 is kind of open. We prefer to go outside and play until kids are picked up, but sometimes we’ll change things up with a dance party, playdough, etc.
We also have a few animals as members of our Kiddie Garden family as well. We have cats that mostly stay away from the noise of the daycare but also a dog named Nelly who thinks of herself as one of the kids. She’s a boxer mix and a sweetheart, but she does her job and acts tough with strangers around “her kids”. We also have a chicken coop in our backyard. Last year we got to experience the magic of chicks being born and watching them grow up following their mama around. We feed all our leftovers and scraps to the chickens and the kids love it. The roosters aren’t exactly quiet and will greet you daily.
Current openings:
I am currently full but you can email me to get on my waitlist and I'll contact you as soon as I hear about an upcoming opening. I take kids 18 months and older, but I will make a few exceptions for existing families if I have the room or for younger kids who are at least walking and able to only take 1 nap a day.
Pricing:
I charge $375 a week per child. No discounts available (other than UPK) so please make sure that this price works for you before scheduling an interview.
UPK is accepted and tuition is reduced to $260 a week for any 4 year olds enrolled in the program.
I use a daycare app called Brightwheel to help parents stay connected throughout our days. You will get updates, photos and videos daily so that you can see what your kiddo is up to. I also use Brightwheel for all my billing and paperwork.
